A Little About Me

I’m Tony Griffin, an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist based in Rathgar, Dublin.

I believe that one of the most important parts of counselling is creating an environment where you feel comfortable enough to be yourself and speak openly about whatever is happening in your life.

My role isn’t to judge you or tell you what you should do. Instead, I’ll listen, help you explore what you’re experiencing and work alongside you to develop a clearer understanding of yourself, your circumstances and the choices available to you.

I hold a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from Middlesex University, London and PCI College, Dublin, and I am a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).

My approach is integrative, drawing on different therapeutic approaches, including CBT and Person-Centred Therapy. This allows our sessions to be adapted around you, rather than expecting you to fit into one particular type of therapy.

Above all, I aim to provide a warm, respectful and confidential environment where you feel heard, understood and supported.

If you're considering counselling, you're very welcome to get in touch.

How Counselling Can Help

A confidential space that's focused entirely on you.

Counselling gives you an opportunity to talk openly about the things that may be difficult to discuss elsewhere.

You may be dealing with something happening right now, trying to understand experiences from your past, facing an important decision or simply feeling that something isn’t quite right.

Whatever has brought you here, counselling provides a safe and confidential space to explore those feelings.

A Therapy Approach That's Personal to You

No two people are the same, and Tony believes therapy shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all.

His approach is integrative, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centred Therapy.

This means sessions can be adapted around you — your personality, your experiences, your circumstances and what you want to achieve from therapy.

The focus is on building a genuine therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, respect and understanding.

There is no expectation that you need to know exactly what to say or where to begin.

You simply start where you are.
